Our Story
Swaraswati Bal Vidyalaya, situated in the serene village of Bermiok Budhbarey, West - Sikkim stands as a testament to the vision and dedication of its remarkable founder Late Smt. Hangsamoti Pradhan a pioneering woman from a remote area who established the school in 2006. Though she is no longer with us, her unwavering commitment to education continues to inspire every corner of the institution.
Built on her belief that learning can uplift individuals and transform communities, the school remains deeply rooted in its mission to enlighten young minds and empower society. Today, Swaraswati Bal Vidyalaya carries forward her legacy with pride, shaping future generations through quality education, values, and a nurturing environment.
Aims and Objectives
Saraswati Bal Vidyalaya, located at Budhabarey-Bermiok in West Sikkim, was established with the vision of providing a well-rounded and value-based education. The school strives to nurture children who are physically strong, intellectually bright, morally sound, and confident in character.
We believe that true education shapes a child to be spiritually grounded, scientifically aware, emotionally balanced, and socially responsible. To make teaching and learning effective and engaging, the school offers computer education, physical education, and health care programmes.
The medium of instruction is English.

Classes from Nursery to Class VI are currently running, and the school puts forth its best efforts to provide quality facilities for the all-round development of every student. The process of upgrading to higher classes is already underway.

Rules and Regulations
Guidelines that ensure a disciplined and conducive learning environment
Students are expected to converse in English within the school premises.
Students are not permitted to leave the school premises during school hours or breaks without the permission of the Principal.
Every student must carry his/her school diary daily. Any remarks written should be shown to parents/guardians the same day and signed as acknowledgment.
Students are responsible for the safe custody of their personal belongings.
Students must come to school in proper and complete uniform.
Any involvement in fighting, use of drugs or alcohol, or stealing will result in immediate expulsion.
Visitors may meet students only with the prior permission of the Principal.
Prior information must be given to the Principal in case a student needs to be absent for any test.
Students with less than 75% attendance will not be promoted to the next class.
Wearing the designated House dress and PT dress on scheduled days is compulsory.
Fees must be paid within the first 10 days of every month.
